BREAKIN’ RECORDS ON KAISER!

Cold temperatures have brought new snow and great conditions for snowmaking.  This morning our snowmaking crew was able to start up a record breaking 16 guns on Kaiser!  We are planning to make snow tonight and throughout the rest of the day on chair two. Three inches of new snow….

We received three inches of new snow Friday night!  Winter is here so come on up this Saturday and Sunday for some early season skiing and riding.

Warren Miller premiere in SLO

Sierra Summit will co-sponsor a Warren Miller premier of the new film “DYNASTY” at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo next Tuesday, December 1st.  Dynasty showcases spectacular footage shot in China’s interior, Norway’s Lyngen Alps, Lake Tahoe, and more with jaw-dropping performances by an impressive assembly of world-class athletes.  The film will be at the Harman Hall at 7 pm.  All paid admissions will receive a FREE lift ticket* to Sierra Summit (*some restrictions apply).  All proceeds benefit YOPAC (Youth Outreach for the Performing Arts Center).   Our co-sponsor Mountain Air Sports will have a prize giveaway at intermission!  Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students.

OPEN Thanksgiving Weekend….

We will be open for skiing and riding on Thursday through Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.  We hope you will join us!  We will operate Chairs 4 and 6 with Sundown Ridge, Middle and Lower Tollhouse and Academy back to the base area.  The beginner and learning hills will be open as well with terrain features in both Tollhouse and the beginner hill.  These include some new boxes and rails and small jumps.  Snowmaking efforts this week will move to Kaiser and we hope to have more terrain open soon.  Tickets for the Thanksgiving weekend will be specially priced at $35 for adults, $25 for youth and $15 for children.  The rental shop will be open and lesson are available!
